City of Jersey City – Lincoln Park
We worked with multiple federal and state agencies and drafted agreements involving the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Hudson County Improvement Authority, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the State’s designated contractor to close a sanitary landfill and redevelop the area into a 9-hole public golf course. The project required the acquisition of hundreds of thousands of cubic yards of dredged sand supplied by the Army Corp of Engineers and was in part financed by a grant pursuant to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Bayonne Local Redevelopment Authority – Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor Redevelopment
The firm has been actively engaged with the City of Bayonne and the BLRA in the redevelopment of the Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor which was decommissioned by the United States Army and transferred to the BLRA. We represented the BLRA in the negotiation and execution of several conditional designation agreements, four redevelopment agreements, a project development agreement and an infrastructure improvements redevelopment agreement along with a wide variety of financial instruments and other supporting agreements. We represent these municipalities in litigation associated with the pollution of the area known as the Newark Bay Complex.
